I didn’t hear about the bananas, but there have been quite a few mysterious diseases recently – like the honeybee Colony Collapse Disorder associated with Israel acute paralysis virus.

And there really is nothing quite like walking into a greenhouse full of ripe tomatoes, taking in the unique smell of tomato plants, and biting into a tomato freshly picked off the vine…

Worrisome about tomatoes: I remember reading about some dangers to bananas, as well.
